"Dawson"
"Samuel B. Dawson, a Marshall county member of the Iowa Soldiers' Home, and an old resident of Albion, died at the hospital this morning at 10:45, of senile debiltiy. Mr. Dawson was a native of Mercer county, Illinois , and was 67 years of age. He was a veteran of Company K, Thirty-second Iowa infantry, having enlisted at Albion, Aug. 28, 1862. He was discharged at Clinton, Aug. 24, 1865, at the expiration of his enlistment. Mr. Dawson came to the Home Jan. 15, 1898. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sadie Buffington, of Zearing.
The arrangements for the funeral have not as yet been completed."
