Terrence "Terry" E. Webb, 54, of Newberry, died suddenly Thursday January 15, 2015 at his residence.
Born August 27, 1960 in Winnemicca, NV, son of William "Jack" and Selena "Sally" (Haapalainen) Webb, Terry was a 1978 graduate of Newberry High School. On September 8, 1978, he enlisted in the United States Air Force working in the telecommunications field and in support of Operation Desert Shield/Storm until his honorable discharge on December 31, 1995 with the rank of Master Sergeant. Following his discharge, Terry resided in Olean, NY where he was employed at Cutco Cutlery and continued his education receiving an associate's degree in business administration from Jamestown Community College.
A resident of Newberry since 2006, Terry served as mayor for the Village of Newberry and was employed by several companies. Presently, Terry was employed as a bus monitor aide for Tahquamenon Area Schools.
Terry was active in the Boy Scouts of America for over 30 years as a scout and cubmaster/scoutmaster and member of the American Legion Post #530 of Shinglehouse, PA. Terry was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and simply watching the stars on a clear summer's night.
Terry is preceded in death by his father-in-law Robert Dinant Sr. and grandson Devlin D.C. Davis.
Survivors include his loving wife, the former Vicky Dinant of Newberry, whom he married June 3, 1983 in Tawas, MI; children Bruce Davis II (Amanda Manning) and Justin Davis (Tonya Porter) all of Olean, NY and Waylon (Tabatha) Webb of Elizabethtown, KY; grandchildren Ellowyn Davis of Olean, NY, Liberty Hawks-Davis of Oregon, Serene Roulo of FL, Chloe Davis of Olean, NY, Alahira Webb of DE, Alivia and Zachary Bloomfield both of Olean, NY; parents Jack and Sally Webb of Newberry; mother-in-law Donna Dinant of New Castle, PA; siblings Cathy (Kurt) Chamberlain of Curtis and Bill (Michelle) Webb of Grand Rapids; nephews Billy Webb, Terrence (Goldie) Webb), Aaron (Lauren) Chamberlain and Derek (Danielle) Chamberlain; niece Cassie (Larry) Sidebothem; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Per request, cremation services were accorded. Friends may call at the Beaulieu Funeral Home in Newberry on Saturday January 24, 2015 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with military honors conducted by the members of the American Legion Post #74 at 6:00 pm.
