Age 45, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017. Michael was born in Flint, MI on December 5, 1971, the son of Paul and Gloria (Chipps) Edie. He was raised and graduated from Clio High School in 1990 and entered to serve his country with the U.S. Air Force and served two deployments during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. After receiving an Honorable Discharge, he returned to Michigan and has since, worked as a public safety officer with the Capital Regional Airport Authority. Michael was an avid fan of the Detroit Redwings. He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Luz; children, Kristal (Quinn) Schooltz and Brendan Edie; great grandson, Trevor Edie; parents, Paul and Gloria Edie; in-laws, Jorge and Maria Cedano; brother, Matthew Edie; sister, Jill (Brian) Ashmore, with their children, Nicholas and Jessica.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the Catholic Community of St. Jude, Dewitt, MI with Rev. Fr. Bob Irish as celebrant. Interment, accompanied by military honors will be held in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, MI. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
