Daughter of Florence Dittemore and Llewellyn Jones, born in the Jones family home just North and outside of the Terre Haute city limits. She married Cecil Gray on 6 June 1942. Soon after Cecil returned from military service, the couple bought a home beside her older brother and in the same block as her parents. Norma and Cecil lived in that home the rest of their long lives, and they raised two children there.
AN ASIDE: My family lived in that close-knit neighborhood of Norma's upbringing. She was a lifelong and very close friend of an older sister. I have many good memories of Norma and Cecil. May they Rest in Peace.
