Snider B. Beck died Saturday at his Clayton home. He was 81.
Born in Woodleaf, N.C., he was a son of Walter Tom and Betty Snider Beck. He married Doris Mayhew, and she survives.
Mr. Beck was U.S. Army veteran. He retired as maintenance director for the Mill Creek School Corporation.
He enjoyed working in his strawberry patch.

Beck, and Laura Oxford; grandchildren Jessica Acton and husband Paul, Justin Beck, Jason Beck and wife Theresa, Adam Beck and wife Sarah, Katie Oxford, and Kristen Oxford; five great-grandchildren; and his miniature daschund, Holly.
Services are 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hall-Baker Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Rich officiating. Interment will follow at Center Valley Cemetery.
