GLEN NOEL NORWOOD was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on July 2, 1924 and passed away on February 5, 2004. His parents, Buford and Lillian Norwood and his brother Paul Norwood preceded him in death. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Lois, daughter Glenda Hazel and her husband Marvin; daughter Susan Conduff and her husband Don; son Steve Norwood and his wife Renae, son David Norwood and his wife Robin; grandchildren Colby Bauer, Chad Bauer, Chris Conduff, Jonathan Conduff, Jill Malloy, Denver Norwood, Carson Norwood; brother Norman Norwood and numerous nephews. Glen was raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas and graduated from Farmington High School and the University of Arkansas. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific in WWII. He moved to Houston in 1952. He started Norwood Homes in 1956, which became the largest home building company in the Southwest United States. He sold the company to U.S. Homes in 1972. He was an active member of Braeswood Assembly of God Church for many years. After he retired he was active in the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship, traveling to many countries, meeting with political and business leaders to share his faith. Funeral Services will be held at the Memorial Oaks Funeral Home at 13001 Katy Freeway on Monday, February 9, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. with the Reverend Eugene Perrault officiating.
