Rufus graduated from Central Wesleyan College and became a Methodist minister. He was a Democrat and Independant candidate for State House of Representative, District 20, Greenville Co., SC. "A vote for me is a vote for law and order and for putting prayer and Bibles in our schools." He had Parkinsons Disease and Alzheimers.
