He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Jane (Poor) of Anderson, 2 sons: Jon Eakes (Madalin) of Indianapolis and Stephen Jay Eakes (Mellea) of Fishers, 3 grandchildren: Ashley, Austin and Andrew Eakes of Fishers, 1 brother: William Carl Eakes of Sandusky, OH, nephews: Michael, Gary, Richard, Dennis, and Kevin Eakes.
He was preceded by his parents and a twin brother, Lloyd "Tiny" Eakes.
