Brenda J. Cooksey, 48, Pendleton, died September 16, 2004 at her residence after a two year illness.
She was born March 8, 1956 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Pendleton, Indiana. She lived in this area all of her life.
She was a teacher at Pendleton Heights High School. She was the former Assistant Athletic Director and coached the Lady Arabian Volleyball and Basketball teams.
She is survived by her Parents: John R. & Donetta (Mears) Cooksey. Sister: Karen Mock of Pendleton. Special Niece: Kasey Mock of Pendleton. Uncle: Roy & wife Kayanna Cooksey of Lyons. Special Family Friends: Mary Ruth Farthing, Robin & Jeff Presley, Leigh Anne & Tad McDonald, Jeremy Presley, Makayla Presley & Ruth ''Grandma'' Smalley.

Burial will be in Mount Zion Lutheran Cemetery-Ovid.
