Homer fell during Monday night's game between the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies. Atlanta police spokesman John Chafee says there's no indication of foul play, and the fall appears to have been an accident.

Ronald Lee "Ron" Homer, Jr. age 30 of Conyers, died August 12, 2013. Ron was a loving son, grandson, brother and friend. He was a 2001 graduate of Rockdale High School, attended Oxford College of Emory University, and was an avid Braves and sports fan. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Vivian and Leroy Homer and maternal grandfather, Obie D. Howell. He is survived by parents, Ronald and Connie Homer of Conyers; maternal grandmother, Dot Howell; sisters, Katie Sharpe of Sunrise Beach, MO, and Angela Homer Nelson of Covington; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held, 12 oclock, Saturday, at the First Baptist Church of Lithonia, with Pastor Dwight Haymon officiating. The family will receive friends 10-12 prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Rockdale Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 289, Conyers, GA 30012.
