June 21, 1942 - April 19, 2014
Born in Nogales, Arizona, on June 21, 1942 to the late Rafael Orozco Garcia and Marta Fuentes Garcia, Luis passed away peacefully with his family by his side in Alameda, CA on April 19, 2014 at the age of 71.
Luis moved to Livermore, CA, where he married and had five children: Patricia Garcia, Linda Garcia, Luis Garcia, Andrew Garcia and Anthony Garcia. Luis moved to Alameda, CA in the 1980's where he and loving Sandra Britto lived for 26 years with the families combined. Luis and Sandy are the blessed grandparents of 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Luis retired from Aramark Corporation. He enjoyed going to the casinos, collecting antiques, stamps, sports and antique memorabilia, garage sales and flea markets, keeping an eye on the neighborhood and spending time with his family.
In the 1980's Luis was the Director of the American Indian center in Livermore, CA. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus. He will be missed by all who loved and cherished him.
Funeral Service was held April 29, 2014, at Greer Family Mortuary and Cremation Services, 2694 Blanding Ave, Alameda.
He was laid to rest at the Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Ave, Hayward.
Following the burial, a reception was held at the Greer Family Mortuary and Cremation Services.
