Thumpy (Bumper Kitty) came into our lives, after adopting her from a no kill animal shelter called "The Good Shepard". She was an adorable 3 month old Female Tabby/Tortie Kitten with big ears and a white speckled belly. She was very shy and sensitive. The night we brought her home, she stared at us for hours , later in the night she awoke us by giving us love bites on the nose. She loved cuddling and sleeping between our legs in the bed and on the couch. She enjoyed the sun , and going outside to her little house under the shade trees. She was very friendly. She would chirp and give us head rubs, whenever she could reach our face. She also loved shoulder rides and snuggling in warm towels out of the dryer. Thumpy grew up with many dog and cat friends, Tessie , Dobie , Dunkin, Limpy ,and a dog Ringo ,She especially admired our older male cat Blaze. She followed Blaze constantly and they became good buddies. Thumpys one constant in life was a stuffed animal we named "brown bear". She would cuddle up with "Brown Bear" and when she was frisky, she would bite and swat him. Thumpy loved music, especially easy listening, her favorites were The Carpenters, Bee Gees, Beatles, Wings, and Olivia Newton John. She loved watching her family sing karaoke. Her favorite movie to watch was "Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer", she also liked watching Dog competitions..

In March 2005 a lump was discovered on her neck. The vets suspected it was a Thyroid lump. Thumpy underwent surgery to remove the lump. The lab results came back cancer "Lymphoma" and they gave Thumpy 3 weeks to live. Never wanting to give up hope, we loaded her up with herbs and holistic treatments, with lack of knowledge on holistic medicine, valuable time was wasted. Although we saw amazing results, Thumpy lost her 5 month battle, and passed on peacefully at home with her family in her favorite spot under the shade trees. I want to give alot of thanks to a wonderful natural powerful supplement called Transfer Factor Plus by the 4Life company for giveing me extra time with my Thumpy.

Later we learned that Thumpys disease could have been prevented by being more aware of the dangers in toxic flea control products, vaccines, household chemicals, etc..

We love all our animals, but Thumpy was a special, irreplaceable critter. I thought she was mine forever, but she was only on loan. If Love could have saved her, she would live forever..I love you forever "Bumper kitty"!

"But ask the animals what they think, let them teach you, let the birds tell you what's going on. Put your ear to the earth-learn the basics. Listen-the fish in the ocean will tell you stories. Isn't it clear that they all know and agree that God is sovereign, that he holds all things in his hand- EVERY LIVING SOUL, yes every breathing creature? Isn't it Just all common sense, as common as common the sense taste? Do you think the elderly have a corner on wisdom, that you have to grow old before you understand life?"
