Bam was a little mixed breed dog who had been rescued from a local pound. Back in February, he saved the lives of his owners when the house they were living in caught fire during the night. He barked wildly, waking his owners, who were living in a 101 year old house. Despite attempts to get Bam to come out of the burning house, he refused, and firefighters later found him collapsed from smoke inhalation. He stayed in a local animal hospital for a short while until he became his frisky self again. A few months later, while work was being done on the house to repair the damage from the fire, Bam saw a cat and ran out into the road into the path of an oncoming car. He breathed his last in his broken hearted owner's arms.
