A native of Savennières, Monsignor Henri Marie Raoul Brincard was ordained to the priesthood through the Confederation of Canons Regular of St. Augustine. He served as the 105th Bishop of the Diocese of Le Puy-en-Velay from 1988 until his death in Caluire, Rhône.
