Mr. Ralph Calhoun, age 87 of Dahlonega, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at his residence.

Ralph was a native of Lumpkin County and a retired welder. He was a member of Blue Mountain Masonic Lodge #38. He was a United States Navy Veteran, and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Dahlonega.

Mr. Calhoun was the son of the late Garland and Bertie (Gamlin) Calhoun; and was also preceded in death by his wife, Naomi (Nichols) Calhoun; brother, Ray Calhoun; sisters, Buelh Bridges, Ocie Sears, Billie Jean Hamilton, and Irma Kendall.

Funeral services for Ralph were held Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Dahlonega.

Rev. Lyman Caldwell, Rev. Allen Swofford, and Rev. Russell Burt officiated.

Interment followed in the church cemetery.
