Mrs. Doris Chambers, age 70, of Dahlonega, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at her residence.
Doris was born in Hall County, GA, Feb. 12, 1942. She had lived in Lumpkin County since 1970 and was of the Baptist faith.
Doris was the daughter of the late Robert Crain and Mattie Bell (Woodall) Crain, and was also preceded in death by a granddaughter, Samantha Stweart; and a brother, Tommy "T.J." Crain.
Funeral services for Doris are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega. Rev. Robert Martin, Rev. Dwight Woodall, and Rev. Jimmy Copeland will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.
The family will receive friends at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega on Wednesday until the time of service. Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega is in charge of the arrangements.
