"Asa served as a Revolutionary Soldier from CT.; serving in the Lexington Alarm, and in the 8th Company, 3rd Regiment (Col. Putnam's)and also served in the 11th CT. Regiment around New York State.

His parents were John Corbin and Martha Hosmer.
Asa and Mercy Harlow were married 31 Dec. 1778 in Thompson, CT.
