Son of John and Martha (Hosmer) Corbin, twin to Asa Corbin.

Revolutionary War Veteran
Amasa served both CT. & MA. during the Revolutionary War. His CT. Service includes the Lexington Alarm, serving around Bunker Hill in Capt. Stone's Co. and the Capture of Burgoyne. His MA. Service includes a 3 day alarm northward in the Berkshire Regiment under Capt. Samuel Clark's Co., Col. Benjamin Simmonds. It is said that he also served with his brothers Asa and Joseph Corbin around NY.
