Graduated from Cortland High School. Retired from Cushman. Enjoyed gardening and candy making. He was married to Maxine H. (Bailey) Doolittle on May 20, 1943 in Ellis, NE. They lived and farmed in rural Cortland. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Tom and Carol of Gretna; Gary and Kathy, and Steve and Faye all of Lincoln; Daryl and Debbie, and son Terry all of Cortland; 7 grandchildren, Amy (Steve) Johansson, Angela (Russ) McFarling, Amber Doolittle, Cory Doolittle, Ken-dra (Dustin) Garrels, Amanda (Mike) Christenson and Holly Doolittle; 5 great grandchildren, Michael, Maxwell and Mathias Johansson, and Kaeden and Bailey Christenson; brother Henry (Mildred) Doolittle; sister Audrey (Wil-fred) DeVries; sister-in-law Eileen Price; and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his wife Maxine who died in 2003 after 60 years of marriage; parents, Charles and Viola (Smith) Doolittle; brother Burton; sister Charlotte (Walter) Goggins.
