ALTENBERNT - Jessie Fern Poush Altenbernt, daughter of Carrie L. Duckworth and Harry W. Poush, was born April 15, 1916 and passed away Nov. 20, 1970 at the Highland Park Hospital in Detroit, Mich., after a long illness.

She graduated from Chariton High School in 1933 and from Chariton Junior College in 1935. After 1938 she lived continuously in the Detroit area.

She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Detroit.

Surviving are her husband, Noble E. Altenbernt of Detroit; one son, Chief Petty Officer Francis Eugene Juntunen, serving with the U.S. Navy in Vallejo, Calif.; one grandson, Richard Juntunen; one brother, Loren Poush of Arlington, Va.; one sister, Mrs. Cleo Trecker of Halbur, and many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the Trinity United Methodist Church at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 23, 1970 in Detroit, Mich.

A second memorial service was conducted by the Rev. J. Edward Quick at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 25, at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton. Interment was in the Chariton Cemetery.
