GAIL DWIGHT BOOZELL

Gail Dwight Boozell, youngest son of Dean and Leila Boozell, was born near Chariton, Iowa on August 8, 1942, and passed away at Yocom Hospital, Friday morning, April 16, 1948, at the age of five years, eight months and eight days, after an illness of nine days with head injuries.

The bursting sunshine of his life was nearly all lived in or near the Salem vicinity and he was loved by his schoolmates and all who knew him for his sweet smiling disposition.

He is survived by his parents, a sister, Harriett, and one brother, Richard, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. George Duckworth and Mrs. Zora Boozell and many other relatives. A grandfather, G. M. Boozell, preceded him in death.

Little Gail won the hearts of many friends by his good nature and will be greatly missed in the home and by his teacher and schoolmates of the Salem school.

O blessed little sunbeam,
O child, of love and prayer,
We give thee to the keeping
Of the tender Shepherd care.
We cannot Lord, Thy purpose see,
But all is well that's done by thee.

Funeral services were held at the Beardsley funeral home, Sunday, April 18, 1948 at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. A. E. Beals and the Rev. Donald Brong. Burial was made in the Chariton cemetery.

Casket bearers were: Glenn Johnston, Robert Pettinger, Merle May, Joe Shore, John Gartin and Harley Gartin.
