Willa S. Williamson, 89, died Thursday, April 28, 2011 at Kingston Nursing Center following an illness.
Mrs. Williamson was born in Galivant's Ferry, a daughter of the late Oliver Mayberry and Alberta Roberts Smith. Prior to retirement, she was employed by the Horry County School District as a school teacher. She was the owner and operator of La Petite Court Motel in Myrtle Beach. Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn Smith and Clarence Smith.
Surviving are one son, Robert Luke Williamson and his wife, Diane, of Conway; one daughter, Suzanne "Missy" DuRant and her husband, David P., of Myrtle Beach; two grandchildren, Alison DuRant and Laura DuRant, both of Myrtle Beach; one sister, Frances S. Rutland of Clemson, S.C.; and a niece and several nephews.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Hillcrest Mausoleum with the Rev. Thom Avison officiating.
