Mildred Meyers Stragalis Lowry, the daughter of Emil R. & Rose Meyers, passed away at Heritage Nursing Home. She lived in Bristol, Michigan until she was 10 and then moved, with her folks, to Otsego where she graduated from Otsego High School, in 1931. After graduation she went to Kalamazoo and graduated from Parsons Business School.

Millie married Nick Stragalis in 1940; he owned the New Park Café on South St. until they retired in 1945. He preceded her in death in 1960. She married Lee Lowry in 1962 and, following her retirement from the American National Bank, in 1968, they traveled and spent their winters in Mesa, Arizona. Lee predeceased Millie, in 1979.

Survivors include a step-son Roger (Ellie) Lowry of Richland; a step-daughter Marilee (Norman) Hanson of Portage; a nephew Kenneth E. (Linda) Hall of Oshtemo Twp; a niece, Beatrice Penning of Portage; nine step-granddaughters, Shirley, Angie, Wendy, Diane, Vicky, Paula, Valerie, Debbie and Gloria; and two step-grandsons, Jeffrey and Mike. She is also survived by many step-great-grandchildren, grand-nieces and nephews.

Millie was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Hoag and Myrtle Donahue; step-daughter Helen Harney; niece Arvada Mae Westrick; and nephew Robert Penning.

A memorial service was held May 9th at Milwood United Methodist Church; Rev. Dr. James Morgan officiating.

Inurnment: Riverside Cemetery (at a later date).
