Charles W. "Chick" Frederick Jr., 69, of Danville, died Monday, July 30, 2012, at his home.
Charles W. "Chick" Frederick, Jr., 69, of 280 Stump Rd., Danville, passed away Monday, July 30, 2012 at his home.

He was born April 27, 1943 in Watsontown, a son of the late Charles W. Frederick, Sr. and Avis Viola (Laudenslager) Frederick.

Chick was a 1961 graduate of Warrior Run High School. Farming was his life., he loved raising beef cattle and pigs and farming hay. He was also employed at the former Milton Manufacturing for 26 years in the maintenance department, until the plant closing.

Chick enjoyed hunting and collecting and tearing apart junk cars.

Surviving are his companion of 26 years, Joyce A. Bastian, of Danville; two daughters and one son-in-law, Jeannette and Daniel Huntington, of York and Melissa Frederick; one sister and brother-in-law, Penny and Bert Pronkoskie, of Middleburg; and one grandson, Ryan Huntington, of York.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one infant daughter, Paula Frederick, who died in 1968, one granddaughter, Nicole Huntington, who died in 2002 and one brother Donald Frederick.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, 308 Main St., Watsontown, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow in the Watsontown Cemetery.
