Benjamin R. Buck, served with Co E 6th ME Volunteers in the Civil War. U.S. Civil War Soldiers, 1861 - 1865 lists his rank in as First Lieutenant and rank out Captain. Adjutant General records say that he was discharged for disability.

In the 1850 census, home for Benjamin Buck was Letter F, Aroostook, Maine. In the home were his parents, Harrison (35), Grace (27), and siblings Melissa (12), Lou (19), "Robert" (7), and Olive (0).

In the 1880 census, Benjamin was 32 and his wife Susan Todd Buck was 35. In the home with them was George Buck, 12 and Amy L. Buck.

According to Maine Marriage Records, 1705 - 1922, Benjamin and Susan Todd were married on 23 April. 1867. Benjamin claimed his Civil War Pension on November 4, 1864.

On Benjamin's death certificate, his death place was listed as Portland. He died on May 23, 1902 and was 55 years old. His place of birth was listed as Presque Isle and his parents were listed as Harrison and Grace Buck.
