Edward was born in Chicago on March 15, 1926 to Chinto and Florence (Kroha) Garzoni. He graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas Elementary School, Austin High School and Loyola University. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge.
He was an educator for 26 years while in Chicago working in the school districts of LaGrange Park, Des Plaines, Maywood and Lyons. He also taught at the Latin School of Chicago.
On August 16, 1952, he married the former Mary Elizabeth Heinz of LaSalle, IL, who survives. During their 55 year marriage, the Garzoni's lived in Chicago, Door County, WI, Destin, FL and Huntsville, AL. During these years, he also did substitute teaching at Fort Walton Beach High School and Gibraltar High School in Fish Creek, WI.
He was a member of St. Agnes Church where he sang in the choir. While living in Huntsville, AL he was a proud member of the Senior Singers, a group his wife directed.
He is survived by his wife, Mary, a niece and four nephews plus countless friends.
Funeral Mass at St. Agnes Catholic Church with Rev. Robert J. Jallas celebrant. Private family burial at a later date.
