Sports Figure. Celtic and Scotland goalkeeper who achieved football imortality as part of the Glasgow Celtic team that became the first ever British club to win the European Cup...a 2-1 victory over the Italian giants, Inter Milan in 1967. Nicknamed "Faither," Ronnie Simpson stamped his authority on the teams of Celtic's golden era, very rarely made an error and without a doubt will be remembered as probably the best goalkeeper to ever play for the "Hoops" and certainly one of the greatest players in the club's long and illustrious history.
