Eula Elizabeth Lisher, 91, Topeka died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Topeka Presbyterian Manor. She was born Dec. 11, 1913, in Soldier, the daughter of Fred and Nellie Schoonover Nuzman. Mrs. Lisher graduated from Soldier High School in 1930. She graduated from the Stormont School of Nursing in 1933. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co., and in the office of Dr. Floyd Beelman. Eula was a member of Helena Chapter No. 210, OES, since 1945, Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church, and Arema Star Club. Eula married Claude G. Lisher, June 27, 1936, in Horton. He died Dec. 23, 1986. She was preceded in death also by her parents and a brother, Neil Nuzman. Survivors include two sons, Jim Lisher, New Canaan, Conn., and Ray L. Lisher, Topeka; three grandchildren, Lori Lisher Simpson, Dallas, Texas, Erik Lisher, New York, N.Y., and Lauren Lisher, Washington, D.C.; and four great-grandchildren, Robert and Andrew, Katherine and Caroline Simpson. A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, where Eastern Star services will be conducted by Helena Chapter No. 210, OES. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Lisher will lie in state after 3 p.m. today at Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Good Samaritan Fund, in care of Topeka Presbyterian Manor, 4712 S.W. 6th, Topeka, Kan. 66606, or Helping Hands Humane Society, 2625 N.W.
