ODA DAY CALLED BY DEATH
Oda Jessie Day, born at Fillmore, Utah, December 26, 1881 and died at his home in Oasis, April 12, 1927 at 4:30 P.M.

The deceased was the son of Geo. and Tamsan Stewart Day.

His boyhood and early manhood were spent in Filmore, where he attended the publis schools, mkaing many friendships that endured during the remainder of his life.

He was married to Emma Anderson in the Salt Lake Temple, in June 1909. About three years later the young couple moved to Oasis, where Mr. Day went into the Merchantile business. His honesty and intergirty combined with his accomodating diposition proved to be great assets to him in his business life.

He was ill only a short time before his death, having suffered with pneumonia, from which he had apparently ralied when the end came.

The funeral services were held in the Oasis ward meeting house, at 2 o'clock Thursday. The house was filled with relatives and friends who mourned the loss of this good man. The speakers were Mr. W.D. Melville of Fillmore, Mr. Herman Pedersen and Bishop Ottley of Oasis. The Oasis choir furnished the music for the services. Interment was in the Oasis Cemetery, the grave being dedicated by former Bishop Skeem of Oasis.

The deceased is survived by his widow and four children, Edna, 17, Leo 15, Donald 11 and Gilbert 7. Also by his father and the following brothers and sisters: Philander B and Roy of Fillmore, Marion of Oasis and George of Delta, Mrs, Ellen Wise of Fillmore, Mrs. Cora Maxfield and Mrs. Rose McCullough of Delta.

The funeral was attened by the following relatives from Fillmore: Mr. George Day, Mr. and Mrs. P.B. Day, Mr. Roy Day, Mrs. Ellen Wise and family, Mr. Carl Day, Mr. Glen Day, Mr. and Mrs. John Rowley, Mrs. Vera Allen, Mr. Gorman Day, Mr. Charley Day, Mr. and Mrs. Alonzo Beauregard, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Dearden and Mr. Thomas Dearden.
