FLAV suddenly became very sick, and passed away on May 3rd 2010. He will be sadly missed by His Daddy Damian Duran, and many other family & friends. He was a wild and crazy dog at times but the love & loyalty he showed to his "Master" was amazing! He truly lived up to the saying "Mans Best Friend". FLAV You were, still are, & ALWAYS WILL BE Daddys BEST FRIEND! In Life you loved each other dearly, in death you love each other still! You may be out of arms reach but you will live on FOREVER in daddys heart, and he in yours!
It broke a lot of hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone, a part of us went with you... when Pop-Pop called you home. Run free, play and have fun with Pop-Pop, take care of each other until we all meet again! Gone But NEVER FORGOTTEN FLAV!

I lost a treasured friend today,
The big strong dog who used to lay,
His gentle head upon my knee,
And share his silent thoughts with me.

He'll come no longer to my call,
Retrieve no more his favorite ball,
A voice far greater than my own,
Has called him to His golden throne.

And though my eyes are filled with tears,
I thank Him for the happy 2 years,
He let him spend down here with me,
And for his love and loyalty.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....
