Doris was born in Porter, Oklahoma on December 2, 1930 to Thomas and Rosa P. (McConahy) Mosley. She attended school in her birth community and graduated from Porter High School.
On June 15, 1952 Doris married LeEldon “Lee” Cheffey in a Kiamichi, Oklahoma wedding ceremony. Their union was blessed with three children. Doris was a wonderful wife and mother. She was a superb homemaker and cook, always preparing delicious meals for her family. Doris loved her family dearly and when grandchildren came along, they were the light of her life and she treasured every moment she was able to spend with them.
Doris was a woman of many talents. She was a skilled seamstress and fashioned clothes for herself and her family. She held other various skills including mechanics and engine repair as well as carpentry.
She was a member of the Broken Arrow church of Christ.

Brother, Bill Mosley and wife Millie, Hartshorne, OK, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family.
