At the age of 80, Anne E. Haines died Sept. 17, 2009. She was born in Northfield, NJ residing there in her early years. While her brothers were in the service during WWII, the family relocated to Atlantic City. She graduated from Atlantic City High School in 1947. She was employed at Fralinger's Salt Water Taffy and then at Boardwalk National Bank for several years. She returned to Northfield after she met and married William Haines in 1956. She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed taking care of her home and her family. She was a claims adjuster for 20 years at Prudential Insuranc. In 1991, she suffered a severe stroke, but enjoyed many more healthy, happy years afterward.

She was predeceased by her husband, William "Bill" Haines; her parents, Frederick and Lena (Souder) Mason; brothers, Harry, Robert, Frank and Stan; and sister, Rose Risley.

Survivors include her daughter, three sisters-in-law, many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Sept. 23 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Pleasantville. Burial followed in Zion Cemetery, Egg Harbor Township.
