Commander at
Volk Field Dies
Col. Jack King, 54, the base
commander at Volk Field near
Camp Douglas, died Wednesday
night, after suffering an apparent
heart attack at his home. He was
U.S. Property and Fiscal Officer
for the State of Wisconsin.
He formerly lived at 1145
Rutledge St., Madison.
Services will be held at 9:30
a.m. Saturday, at St. Patrick's
Catholic Church in Madison.
Monsignor Francis E. Doherty
will officiate, with burial in
Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends can call at the
Ninneman Funeral Home in
Tomah, today from 6 to 9 p.m.,
and the Ryan Funeral Home, 2114
N. Sherman Avenue in Madison,
Friday night from 6 to 9.
