Obit: Henry Otto Baumgartner, 75, of Columbia died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1987, at his home. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Stanley Owens officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Mr. Baumgartner was born June 6, 1912, in Boone County to Robert and Eunice Sapp Baumgartner. He married Dorothy Williams on Jan. 25, 1936, in Columbia, and she survives. Mr. Baumgartner worked for Alton Ford for 15 years and for Shepard Boulevard School before his retirement. He was a member of Barnes Chapel Church. Also surviving are two sons, Robert Henry Baumgartner and Donald Gene Baumgartner; a daughter and son-in-law, Ida Marie and Bobby Grant; a sister, Marie Craig; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. All are of Columbia. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Adair, and a sister.
