Will Brown, 104, of Springfield died at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday at the Dirksen House. He was born in Lexington, Miss., on Oct. 15, 1884, the son of Saul and Mae Brown. A daughter, Rosella Streeter Crockett, died in 1960. Mr. Brown was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Louella Logan of Springfield and Josephine Green of Mobile, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; 74 great-grandchildren and 78 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at noon Saturday at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. Richard Maye officiating. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
