Edith E. Nutt, 100, of Springfield died Sunday at Lewis Memorial Christian Village. She was born Sept. 28, 1894, in Springfield, the daughter of William Sherel and Nellie Hankins Miller.
Mrs. Nutt was a lifelong resident of Springfield. She was a member of Southside Christian Church, the Rebekah Lodge and the Retired Teachers Association. She taught sixth grade in the Virden schools for many years.
Survivors: two sons and a daughter; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Doenig of Plantation, Fla.
Services: Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel. Burial: Oak Ridge Cemetery.
