Catherine Venneman Mulcahy, 102, of Springfield, formerly of Buffalo, died Thursday at St. John's Hospital. Born in Christian County, she was a daughter of Theodore and Catherine Mattheis Venneman. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and the Altar and Rosary Society. Her husband, William J., died in 1940, and a son, Gorman, died in 1965.
Surviving are one son, Henry L.; two daughters, Katherine D. and Margaret M. Mulcahy; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Church and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. - State Journal-Register, Springfield, IL, Friday, 10-14-1977
