Beulah M. Libby, 70, of Unity passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 26, 1967, at a Waterville hospital after a long illness. She was born in Caribou December 25, 1896, the daughter of Daniel Frank and Annie (Daley) Walton.

Her husband, Alton W. Libby, passed away 16 years ago.

A resident of Unity for many years, she was a former school teacher in Thorndike and Unity Plantation and was a substitute teacher in the Unity Schools. She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary of Unity, a former member of Thorndike Grange and had been a Grey Lady at the Veterans Hospital at Togus.

She is survived by one brother, Chester Walton of Gardiner; four sisters, Mrs. Jennie Macomber of Berryville, VA, Mrs. Marjorie Jenkins of Belfast, Mrs. Alice Wood of Burnham, and Mrs. Vivian Berry of Unity; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm at the Unity Union Church with Rev. George Fowler officiating. Burial will be in the Pond Cemetery in Unity. (Published in the Waterville Morning Sentinel 4/27/1967)
