Mrs. Walton worked for several years as an office clerk and inspector for the C.A. Powers Co. starch factory in Monticello and a secretary for Morning Star Paisley Co.
She was predeceased by her husband, Elmer Walton; three sons, Reginald Walton, Bernard Walton and Jackie Walton; one daughter, Jean Walton; three brothers, Lee Argraves, Miles Argraves and Emery Argraves; one grandson and one great-grandson.
Mrs. Walton is survived by her daughter and husband, Maxine and Forest Ireland of Presque Isle; three sons and their wives, Robert and Mable Walton of Littleton, Alan and Edith Walton of Brewer, Gary and Emmeline Walton of Monmouth; two sisters, Olive Walton of New Hampshire and Marjorie Maynard of Florida. Mrs. Walton is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Hilda Walton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Walton requested there be no calling hours or formal funeral. There will be a family committal service for her ashes at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, officiated by her nephew, the Rev. Ronald Walton of Florida. Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton.
