Dianna was a graduate of Hermon High School, Class of 1964, and a graduate of Una's Academy of Beauty Culture. She was a beautician for many years and had worked in Skowhegan, Newport and Pittsfield. Dianna enjoyed cooking and made wonderful breads. She was a 4-H bread making champion.
She worked for Shop & Save in the bakery and deli department at the Broadway store, where she worked for 11 years.
Dianna was a loving mother and grandmother and her focus in life was always her family. She was especially involved in her sons' lives and was devoted to them and her grandchildren.
Dianna was an active member of the Dixmont United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling and spending time at the family's camp in Plymouth.
Surviving are her parents of Dixmont; her beloved sons, Brett L. Dunton and his wife, Keri, and Kirk W. Dunton and his wife, Rebecca, all of Carmel; a sister, Lois E. Whitcomb and her husband, Larry of Newburgh; a brother, Gary R. Erskine and his wife, Betti of Norridgewock; three grandchildren, Kailee, Wyatt and Piper; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a devoted friend to many and will be deeply missed by all.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, with Pastor Margo B. Carmines, pastor of the Dixmont United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Dixmont Corner Cemetery, Dixmont.
