He was the husband of Elizabeth King Erskine. Born in Easton September 10, 1903, he was a son of James and Annie (Bangs) Erskine.
Amos lived in Camden most of his life and was a fireman and boiler man at local mills. He worked at Seabright Mill for 28 years. He was a member of Camden Methodist Church.
Surviving are his wife of Camden; two sons, Albert of Warren and Ernest of Searsmont; three daughters, Margaret Ames of Searsmont, Annie Holcomb of Roby, TX, and Gloria Prentiss of Sidney; two sisters, Gladys Lamb and Eva Coffey both of St. Petersburg, FL; 12 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
