CLARENCE R. AKERS

Formerly of Bedford, died Friday, Nov. 27, 1970, in Pasco West Side Hospital, New Port Richey, Fla. He was born Dec. 15, 1899, in Altoona, the son of Albert and Minnie Akers, and was twice married, first to Jessie Ray, who died in 1967, and then Feb. 8, 1968, to Dora White. Surviving are his wife, a stepson, Samuel of Altoona, and a brother, F.H. Akers of Chula Vista, Calif. Mr. Akers was a retired employe of Sun Oil Co., having served 30 years. He was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church and of the Elks and Optimist Club in Lansing, Mich. Friends will be received in the Keller Funeral Home, Bedford, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

AKERS -- Funeral services for Clarence R. Akers, formerly of Bedford, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Keller Funeral Home, Bedford, by the Rev. Edgar M. Datesman. Interment in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
