Singer, composer, songwriter and producer, mostly known as Hanne Haller. After school she studied sports for one year but had to stop due to health problems. Her first record "Applaus für Hanne Haller" was recorded in 1971 but was never released because the record company went bankrupt. In the late 1970's she wrote songs under the pseudonym Hansi Echer but had no need for the pseudonym for long because of the success of one her songs that was sung by Karel Gott. In the following years she wrote many songs for Johannes Hesters, Caterina Valente, Jürgen Drews, Milva, and Rex Gildo. In 1981 she was the most successful german singer. During this time she recorded "Samstag Abend" and "Weil du ein zärtlicher Mann bist" two of her greatest hits. Her first three records that were released between 1980 and 1983 were sold more than one Million times. She discovered the band "Wind" that attended the Eurovision Song Contest in 1985 with one of her composition and reached the second place in the finals in Gothenburg. Between 1985 and 1992 she recorded several very successful records. In the mid 1990's she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After thinking she had defeated the cancer she recorded the CD "Gute Nachricht" with spiritual music and went on her first live tour in 2004.
