Wife of Charles(1903-1989). Judelle and Charles married on October 12, 1941 in Rhame, North Dakota. Charles and Judelle were never blessed with children. Judelle suffered a tubal pregnancy and was never able to have children. She taught home economics at Turlock High School from 1953-1974. She was a talented cook and an equally talented baker. Judelle was stern, but caring. She was honest to the core, sometimes brutally, she had high standards and expected others to follow them. Some of her former students remember that by just slightly clearing her throat, all must be quiet. Her neighbor, the late Art Brown, told the story of their first meeting, she knocked on the door and introduced herseld by saying, "I noticed you have dog, and I will not tolerate them in my yard," upon telling this he giggled, because once he got to know her he really liked her. Charles and Judelle traveled in their retirement, and Judelle was a volunteer to many organizations. Charles died of Leukemia in 1989, and she kept busy. She gave up her work at the hospital at age 90, but the inactivitey became too much for her, she stopped eating and never recovered, She joined Charles on Valentine's Day 2000 at age 91. Judelle prided herself in humility, but this memorial was created to remember her contribution to this earth. I hope her former students take time to visit this page, because all of them were the children she was never able to have. Rest in Peace, Judelle.
