Civil War Union Army Soldier. He was a Union prisoner of war at the infamous Andersonville prison camp. He was part of a group, collectively known as "Mosby's Raiders" and led by William "Mosby" Collins, that beat, stole from, murdered and terrorized fellow Union prisoners before they revolted.
