Funeral services for James G. (Jimmy) Goodrich, who with his wife Patricia, owned and operated the 320 Ranch in the Gallatin Canyon, will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Soldiers Chapel in the Gallatin Canyon. He died May 31, at the hospital here following a long illness.

Goodrich, 57, had outfitted in the Gallatin Canyon until 1949 when he became affiliated with the 320 Ranch. He and his wife purchased the ranch in 1959.

He was born Dec. 13, 1919, at Redfield, S.D., and moved with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Goodrich, to the Gallatin Valley in 1929. Goodrich graduated from Gallatin County High School and attended MSU. During world War II, he served in the European Theater and received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart while serving with the field artillery. He was a past president of the Outfitters and Guides Association of Montana and a member of the Dude Ranchers Association. Goodrich and Patricia Bowles were married in September, 1953, at West Yellowstone.

Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Jim (Gail) Walma of Gallatin Gateway and Carrie Goodrich of Gallatin Gateway; a sister, Mrs. Emmett (Nadine) Patrick of Albuquerque, N.M.; a granddaughter, Jamie Marie Goodrich, and a niece and two nephews.

Burial will be in Soldiers Chapel Cemetery. Dokken-Nelson is in charge of arrangements. ~ Published in the Bozeman Daily Chronicle
