Elvie Christensen, 84, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at the Madison Valley Manor in Ennis.

He was born June 4, 1915, at White Rocks, Utah, to Karl and Christina (Neilsen) Christensen. He was raised and attended school in the White Rocks area. He later served in the Army Air Force during World War II.

After the service, he married Evelyn Wiseman Gardner. She preceded him in death in 1963.

He then moved to the Gallatin to be close to his brother, Marion and his family. He worked on various ranches throughout Montana and was known as an excellent horseman. He moved to Ennis in 1992 to be near his nephew, Paul Christensen and family.

Elvie enjoyed playing cards, especially with the youth of the community, and appreciated the friendship and love shown to him from his fellow residents and staff at the nursing homes and from home healthcare staff.
