Susan Stovall Munro and Daniel Munro, Jr. were married in 1803 in Bourbon County, Kentucky. They came to Missouri (the area now known as Howard County) in the fall of 1810, with four children: George, Eleanor "Nellie", Nancy, and Edith "Eady". They lived in a fort, probably Fort Hempstead, where a fifth child was born in abt 1812. 'The History of Howard and Cooper County, Missouri' (p. 163) states that "the first persons to die of disease (in Howard County) were Daniel Munro's wife and infant child".
