Gospel Singer, Entertainer, Preacher. He attended St John School and graduated from Mananass High School in Memphis, Tennessee as well as Lemong College in that city. Called into ministry in 1957 after being married to Bertha L. Thomas of Mobile, Alabama in 1956. They had three sons and three daughters. Robinson was a well known and traveled preacher and gospel singer. He recorded many albums and received many awards and citations and White House invitation to sing in 1980. His greatest hit was "Wrapped Up, Tied Up, Tangled Up." He was committed to education and started the Cleophus Robinson Sr. Scholarship and awarded many scholarships to youth of all races since 1961. He was the pastor of the Greater Bethlehem Baptist Church for over 40 years in the city of St. Louis, Missouri. He had a regular radio and television show that had a faithful following. He was often called, "The World's Greatest Gospel Singer and Famous Preacher."
