George is the son of Nathan Boddie and Chloe Crudup. He married Suzanna P. Hill on 6 May 1790. She died 1 Sep 1798. He then married Lucy Williams on 7 June 1801.

Wife LUCY-lend to her "my home tract of Land" on north side of Great Peach Tree Creek excepting the tract on Back Swamp called Allens where SAUL now lives; also lend to her my grist mill on south side of Peach Tree Creek until son Nicholas W. Boddie comes of age; should she remarry, then she to receive 1/3 sd land as her dower; give to her furtinure; a year's provision at my death & to pay executor $300. son WILLIE BODDIE 700 acres land on Back Swamp called Allens where SAUL now lives, joining Henry Mitchel, Willis W. Boddie & others, also the saw mill on north side of Peach Tree Creek; also 640 acres on south side of Peach Tree Creek, joining Eaton Edwards, the Ned Plce. Son NICHOLAS W. BODDIE-balance of my land on both sides of Peach Tree Creek including land & Grist mill lent to my wife, when he comes of age or his mother's death. If either sons Willie or Nicholas should die a minor, the other to inherit. Daughter LUCY MOORE, in addition to what I have already given, negro woman Zaney & her 2 children. Daughter TEMPERANCE ANN YANCY -$400, negro woman Mil-Frone & her 5 children (Caroline, Fletcher, Watson, Sofine, Clark). boy Washington, women Betsey & Nicey. Daughter CATHARINE BELL - negro woman Ailsey & her children (Viney, Crenshaw). Son VANVAN SALAIR BODDIE my Bynum & Sorsby tracts; also negroes Pheribe, Jerry, Rowina, Malvina, Barabary, Linda, Mariah, John Turner, Willie, Scip, Adam, Nance, Redmon,"with all the young children," sd son shall pay to the executor $500. Remainder of negroes to be divided among, Wife LUCY, sons WILLIE & NICHOLAS W. BODDIE. Residue of estate to be divided among: wife LUCY, daughter LUCY MOORE, sons WILLIE & NICHOLAS M. BODDIE.
